- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 medium onion, caramelized
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead until a smooth dough forms.
- Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a pan, sauté the caramelized onions and spinach until wilted. Season with garlic powder and black pepper.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread the spinach and onion mixture evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into 1-inch pieces.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
