  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips and salted caramel sauce.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly browned.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • For chewier cookies, refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
  • You can add a sprinkle of sea salt on top for extra flavor.
