Salmon Sushi Bake – A Creamy, Savory Delight

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound cooked salmon, flaked
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into strips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a pot, combine sushi rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover and simmer for 18 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved; fold into cooked rice.
  4. In another bowl, combine flaked salmon, cream cheese, mayonnaise, soy sauce, and sriracha until well blended.
  5. In a baking dish, spread the sushi rice evenly on the bottom.
  6. Top with the salmon mixture and spread it evenly over the rice.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until heated through.
  8. Garnish with green onions and nori strips before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding avocado slices on top after baking.
  • This dish can be served with additional soy sauce for dipping.
