One-Pot Philly Cheesesteak Soup with Bacon and Cheesy Toast

A delicious and hearty one-pot soup that combines the flavors of a classic Philly cheesesteak with the added crunch of cheesy toast.

  • 1 pound turkey bacon
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 green bell peppers, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add onions and green peppers. Sauté until tender.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in beef broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Add the cooked turkey bacon back to the pot.
  7. Mix in shredded provolone cheese, stirring until melted.
