- 1 pound ground turkey
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped turkey bacon, bread crumbs, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Take a portion of the meat mixture and flatten it in your hand.
- Add a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella in the center, then encase the cheese with the meat mixture, forming a ball.
- Repeat until all meat and cheese are used.
- Place meatballs in the crockpot and pour marinara sauce over them.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until meat is cooked through.
Notes
- Serve with additional marinara sauce for dipping.
- For extra flavor, add chopped onions and garlic to the meat mixture.
