Cuban Chopped Grinder Sandwich

A delightful take on the classic Cuban sandwich, featuring turkey bacon for a modern twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Cuban bread
  • 8 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup shredded roast pork
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or panini press to medium heat.
  2. Slice the Cuban bread in half lengthwise.
  3. Spread mustard on both sides of the bread.
  4. Layer the turkey bacon, shredded pork, Swiss cheese, and pickles on the bottom half of the bread.
  5. Top with the other half of the bread and butter the outside.
  6. Grill the sandwich for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  7. Remove from heat, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute the turkey bacon with regular bacon if preferred.
  • Adjust the amount of mustard to your taste.
