  • 1 pound chicken breasts
  • 1 package cheese tortellini
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts at the bottom of the CrockPot.
  2. Add in chicken broth, carrots, celery, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. 30 minutes before serving, remove the chicken and shred it. Return shredded chicken to the pot.
  5. Add tortellini and cream; stir to combine.
  6. Cook for an additional 30 minutes on high until tortellini is tender.
  7. Stir in parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

  • This dish can be topped with fresh parsley for added flavor.
