- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
- Gradually add the flour mixture alternately with the buttermilk, starting and ending with the flour.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and chopped pecans.
- Spoon half of the batter into the bundt pan, then sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over it.
- Top with the remaining batter and swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
