  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture alternately with the buttermilk, starting and ending with the flour.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and chopped pecans.
  7. Spoon half of the batter into the bundt pan, then sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over it.
  8. Top with the remaining batter and swirl with a knife.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a plate.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, drizzle with a glaze made from powdered sugar and milk.
  • Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for added indulgence.
