Chicken Avocado Melt Sandwich

A delicious twist on a classic sandwich featuring juicy chicken, creamy avocado, and crispy turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices whole grain bread
  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 2 slices turkey bacon, cooked
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread mayonnaise and mustard on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer cooked chicken, sliced avocado, turkey bacon, and shredded cheese on unspread side of one bread slice.
  4. Top with the other slice of bread, spread side up.
  5. Place sandwich in the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some fresh herbs like basil or cilantro.
  • You can substitute regular bacon if preferred.
