1 pound ground turkey
4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup BBQ sauce
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 sub rolls
1/2 cup additional BBQ sauce for topping
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form the mixture into meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sub rolls by slicing them open and toasting them lightly.
Once the meatballs are done, place several on each sub roll, drizzle with additional BBQ sauce, and serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, try using smoked turkey or adding your favorite spices.
These meatballs can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge.
