- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and cream cheese.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, oats, pecans, and nutmeg for the topping.
- Pour half of the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan, then sprinkle half of the topping over it. Repeat with the remaining batter and topping.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing and serving.
