Apple Crisp Cheesecake Bread

A delightful dessert that combines the flavors of apple crisp and cheesecake in a delicious bread.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and cream cheese.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture.
  6. Fold in the diced apples.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, oats, pecans, and nutmeg for the topping.
  8. Pour half of the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan, then sprinkle half of the topping over it. Repeat with the remaining batter and topping.
  9. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of apple pie spice.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
